Department of Computer Engineering

The Computer Engineering (BE Computer) is a four year, eight semester program. A student needs to successfully complete 126 credit hours of course work, practical & project work for graduation. Throughout their four years of EEMC education, computer engineering students learn about the general design, creation and maintenance of system as well as application software. Computer engineering is a combination of two fields: electrical engineering and computer science which is required to develop computer hardware and software.

 

Career Prospects

 

Booming IT sector in Nepal has plenty of jobs for Computer engineering graduates. Computer engineers have lots of options to work in IT companies in departments such as design, development, assembly, manufacturer and maintenance etc. Working as a programmer, web developer and E-commerce specialist with telecommunications companies, automotive companies, aerospace companies etc can be a lucrative career option as well.
